Soo Passmoor: Experienced rower and coxswain.   Along with Eric Rosow started up the AHS Crew Program and is in her fifth year of high school crew. Soo serves as the head coach for the program covering administration, logistics as well as coaching.
 
Andre Albert: Has been in the rowing community for many years.  Andre was the Head Coach of Fairfield Women's Crew for 7 years. He has also coached local club programs in the area. This is Andre's fourth year with Avon High school.  As Varsity Girls coach he also works with the overall girl's program.
 
John Kostal: Rowed for Princeton.  Entering his fourth year of coaching crew at the high school level, John has almost ten years of experience coaching youth soccer and basketball.  John is also actively involved as a leader in the Cub Scout and Boy Scout organizations in Avon.  John is the Varsity Boys coach and as such also oversees the overall Boy's Program.
 
Michael_Anne Sevick: We are excited to have Coach Mikey with us.  Her experience as a rower for Simsbury, a coxswain for UCONN are definitely going to help us as we move into a more competitive and established team.
 
 
Pam Rosow: M.S., R.D., CDN : has been a registered dietitian, clinical nutritionist, for over 25  years and has worked in the area of sports nutrition. She has also coached soccer and swimming. Pam assists as a conditioning coach for the team and enters her fifth year with the team. 
 
Volunteer Staff:
The Following coaches have all been involved with the program form our first year and continue to make themselves available on an "as needed" basis in order to keep the program forward.   We are truly thankful to have such a highly qulaified staff supporting the program.
 
Erin Sprong Murrell: Has been involved in crew since High School.  Erin has coached since 1999 in a variety of programs, in both competitive and urban youth development areas including North Hampton Community, GRow Boston, and Community Rowing, Boston. Erin is also the coordinator for Rowing Strong.
 
Chris Dlugolecki: Rowed for UCONN.  Chris is entering his third year coaching high school crew in the spring season.  Chris also coaches baseball and basketball.
 
Leslie McLaneRowed for University of Pennsylvania.  Leslie currently teaches Math and Computer Science at Newington High School.  Leslie played a key role in the Avon Town Clinics over the past summers and is now entering her fourth year coaching high school crew. 
 
 
Eric Rosow: Rowed at Trinity College and was a former world-class rower with several national titles. Eric has coached rowing at Trinity College and volunteered for Simsbury High School. Eric was instrumental in get this program started.
 
Location
 
Batterson Park Pond in Farmington.  The park is owned by the City of Hartford and used during the summer for Camp Courant.
 
The boat(s) and equipment will be stored under the eaves of the old bath house during the fall and spring seasons.
 
Directions: From Farmington follow Rte 4 to Rte 9 turn, South Rd.  At the 4 way stop go straight to the water and turn right into the entrance.
